Mortal Kombat has all of the violence and one liners you’ve always hoped would be done justice in a transition to film. There’s rarely any down time between reasons to be excited while watching it and it shouldn’t be missed.

This is hard to write because its not something you’re supposed to talk about. There is fighting, substance, humor, there’s a story here, and they do something magical no movie has done before.

This stars a man who did not come to act, but one who came to fight. It’s about 10% other people talking, 3% poison and maybe 2% arrows, but the other 85% is kicking someone in the head, breaking bones, or swinging swords.

This movie is for you if you want some quick, brutal violence but the story is dull and there’s nothing else to cling to.

The Raid: Redemption is a movie about discovery and whimsy, as you bear witness to the myriad of orchestrated fight scenes and countless ways that someone can die in the same building for two hours.
