Insidious has some moments where it begins to hit a stride and there may be some enjoyment here for you but for me every step of the way was far too predictable to care about.

Rampant is a tough movie to really place here. Its not that its necessarily bad, but while the tale could have been told in thirty minutes less, the real issue is that Rampant and Kingdom are retellings of the same story, and Kingdom does it better in a different format. Rampant starts out with some great moments but never develops further and if you’ve seen Kingdom first, this will feel lacking.

In a blend of hillbilly horror and horrible misunderstandings, Tucker and Dale vs Evil is a very enjoyable comedy.

A few minutes in and it felt like a mistake, but after about 16 minutes, I had some hope. Problem is that hope dies as fast as you’d hope some of the characters would because its a very underwhelming movie.

As a show of episodes within each episode, it will suddenly fade to black enough to develop trust issues. Beyond that however, where it succeeds is in its more realistic and personal interpretation of survival after an outbreak.
A surprisingly well paced story that felt like a small Cloverfield with nuns. Its not for everyone though. If you’re not too into found footage point of view, documentary style movies, you still won’t find much to like here.

This one covers all five movies because while some are a little better than others, if you like the premise, you’re gonna have a good time with any you choose to watch.

Shaun of the Dead is a classic horror comedy that delivers in every regard. If you have any interest in seeing it again or haven’t yet, don’t hesistate, you won’t be disappointed.

Kingdom is a Korean zombie series with action in all the right places and scenes that continue to one up those that came before them.
I had almost given up on this movie and written it off after the first of many short stories that play out but I’m glad I didn’t because whether you get through the first part by watching it or fast forwarding, those that follow gradually pick up and become pretty fun to watch through their themes and variety.
